New England has a rich and varied food history.  I have lived in Rhode Island all my life, and my cultural background is as varied as that of the state.  I grew up eating the Portguese and German food of my mother, as well as the old school New England and French Canadian foods of my father.I later learned Italian and Asian cuisine, both from restaurant work and personal friends.

This blog will embrace all cuisines, with an emphasis of course on those I know best.  I will also share some updated versions of recipes from my vintage cook book collection.
