I recently had the opportunity to try out the new Quaker Soft Baked Bar line. I found these soft delicious bars to be a perfect breakfast snack , as well as, a convenient pick-me-up before a workout session. They are packed with 5 B-vitamins, which of course are helpful in boosting energy. These bars would also be nice post-workout too, since they have 6 grams of protein, at just 140 calories and boasting 5 grams of fiber, that is pretty good.
This wholesome food isn’t just about nutrition though. The bars come in two delectable flavors, Banana Nut Bread and Cinnamon Pecan Bread. I couldn’t pick a favorite between the two. I enjoyed both flavors very much, although my daughter seemed to prefer the Cinnamon Pecan Bread, over the Banana bread, but just slightly. I guess you will have to try out both flavors for yourself.
I found Quaker Soft Baked Bars to be an excellent wholesome alternative to most packaged snacks. They are something you should certainly keep in mind when considering school snacks for your kids this coming fall. From someone who bakes as much as I do that is quite the thing to say. If you don’t have the time to bake yourself, at least you can have the taste of fresh baked goods easily on hand.
